I love this post, and the way you have captured the essentials of The Hermit IX, thank you for sharing it with us.

I was reading through your great advice, and thinking... Shaunté is missing the crucial role she plays here in lighting the way for her readers/subscribers, until I got to point 8 and was relieved that you recognise that 🙂

Thanks again... off on tour through the rest of your posts now.

Hoping that 2025 is being good to you and recharging you, too!

I found this article from a link in one of Marcy Farrey's recent posts: https://souljournalingsessions.substack.com/p/journaling-with-the-moon-full-moon?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=881304&post_id=154633339&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=1hthfa&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

Thank you for sharing more tips on Hermit energy! I am in a personal year 4 with the Empress leading me and the Death card as support. Since September, I've felt myself drawn inward, needing solo time. Upon reflecting on what my word of the year is, I felt "SHE-led" best describes my focus. It seems I am being asked to redefine what church means to me. It's something I've backed away from because I am too prone to do all the things myself which exhausts me. I'm envisioning a marriage of the Hermit and the Empress to mean a rewriting of my perspective of leadership from outward doing, organizing, and inviting, to inward being, flowing, and stillness - leading myself and ministering to myself first.

Which is perfect for the Hermit, because the light I shine for myself will then extend to others. It's like I need to pave the way for myself and by leading myself, I will lead others.

This is so rich and uplifting. It's interesting that, when I drew a card for each month of 2025, I pulled the hermit for February. You've given me a lot more to ponder. Thank you for sharing this, Shaunté!

This is a marvellous guide. I am going to refer to it from time to time. I have no problem being a hermit. In fact, my husband is also becoming one - if it's possible for two hermits to live happily and comfortably together, as we do! Thank you for your illuminating posts - and may 2025 bring all that you desire!

Since I live by myself (except for the days in my parenting schedule when my son is with me), and I work from home, I'm always in hermit mode! I've enjoyed it for the past year because previously, I was out of my house daily and dealing with all kinds of people constantly. I do know the benefit of community, however, and in 2025, I'm prioritizing leaving my house more regularly and connecting with people in my local community more frequently. BTW, my inner child is 9. I don't think I have any pictures of me at that age, but I'll see if I can get one from my mom. That's a good idea. ~DeniseRenee

DeniseRenee I’m with you! I thought I would be ready to not be a hermit this year, but the Eaton fire threw my life out of balance. It’s still sad and strange over here, but I’m going to try to get out of the house next month.

I love that you know your inner child’s age! Let me know how the picture feels when you put it up. 🙂💜✨

I know her age because it’s when I experienced the first major shift in my world. A lot of things happened between eight and nine. I learned that I actually had a father because he literally showed up on our doorstep. Plus I moved and changed schools. I was not welcomed by the girls. The things that I want most I could never have because money was tight. All I needed

at that time to fit in was a set of colorful Hello Kitty pens, a Hello Kitty TrapperKeeper, cute notebooks, and an allowance of about five dollars a week. I would have been cool in everybody’s eyes and the transition would have been smoother. I think… no, I KNOW it’s why I have a habit of buying cute stationary that a 9 year gurl would love to this day! 🤣 Once I realized I was “stuck” at that age and was making a lot of grown up decisions like a 9 year old, I started indulging her in little ways. Making my work space cute. Keeping my nails cute. Buying cute stationery and everyday items like my drinkware. Once I did that, I noticed she stays in her lane and doesn’t try to act out in other areas of my life! 😊

Oh. My. STARS! ✨ You just connected some serious dots for me! I remember wanting Crayola markers in 1st grade so badly. Money was tight for my family also, and I have such a marker and cute stationary problem now as well. I've calmed down a bit, but it took some work. Ahahahahaha! 🤣
